Earth School provides experiences we cannot have while in the comfortable environment we enter in the next stage of life. Earth School contains people of different spiritual levels, some hostile and violent, others kind, loving, and other-centered. As we live with this great variety of people, we face challenges, hostility, conflict, success, joy, and tragedy. We grow in spiritual maturity by facing obstacles and overcoming them.
The conditions in Summerland that most people enter are so pleasant that many choose not to evolve into higher levels of being for a long time. They remark that they are content to stay where they are, although they know there are higher levels. Some people prefer to stay where they are for long periods of time. Higher-level teachers and guides try to help them learn so they can advance, but there is no pressure and no one requires anyone to leave a level and progress to another level.
Most people, however, want to advance spiritually. They want to grow in their sensitivities, love, and compassion. There are courses of study they may choose to go through, and they may be tasked to help people still on earth, including family, so they deepen their empathy and sensitivity.
In the life after this life we know we are one with all people, both those in the next life and those in the earth realm, and one with Our Universal Intelligence. As a result, our spiritual growth is accelerated. People continue learning and growing, but without the struggles of Earth School. There are schools, workshops, teaching by ascended masters, gatherings where people talk about their experiences and learning, and all the other experiences that help people to grow. As a result, people change over time. They become wiser, educated, loving, compassionate, and other-centered.

Will I Be Able to Keep Learning by Attending Classes or Schools?
You will be able to learn any skill or learn about any subject of interest to you. You may attend classes in any of the many schools. The schools are not places where students memorize facts. The memory works perfectly, so there is no need to memorize. Students are able to learn quickly, with sharpened understanding. Each student follows their own course of study, independent of others.
There are expansive halls of learning where people are being taught or are practicing their skills. Raymond Lodge, communicating from spirit to his father through the medium Gladys Osborne Leonard, explained that they attend lectures at the halls of learning, where they prepare themselves for the higher spheres while living in lower ones. Will I Be Able to Read Books and Go to Libraries?
While there are libraries, much more knowledge is available from sources other than the books found in them. Jane Sherwood’s husband in spirit, communicating through her, explains that people can study in libraries but soon learn how to access information from memory bank reference libraries that contain records of everything that has ever happened. [3]
Every book ever written is in the libraries, but people don’t need to check them out. They can simply have the book read itself to them. People can even understand the original meaning of the author, as though the author were with them explaining it.
People can also converse with the authors rather than read the books.
