I was just wondering what your opinions are on free will? I’ve heard various mediums say that we have free will, but I’ve also heard other scientists say that we don’t have free will, we are biohackable animals when talking about free will and algorithms on your phone etc. and I was wondering what your thoughts are on it and the proof of it?

Response

Pierre-Simon de Laplace wrote in the early years of the 20th century that humans’ lives are determined, with no free will. Many scientists believe that today. They feel everything on Earth, including people, is determined by all the forces that preceded events. If one could identify all the variables from events that formed a person’s life, everything in a person’s behavior could be predicted.

We now know that’s not true. We know that the major elements of our lives are planned before our births, but we have free will to accept the planning or ignore it at a few points or in its entirety. And we have guidance from our Souls, guides, and others that are not part of the system we are in. They influence our lives in ways that are not part of our upbringing and predispositions.
