Hi, I’m Suzanne Wilson, the Carefree Medium. People often ask me, how can I get a dream visit with my loved one who has passed away? We can get dream visits with our loved ones. Anyone can do this. It’s because when we’re asleep, our conscious mind is shut down just enough so that we’re no longer rationalizing or judging or limiting ourselves. And the subconscious mind is free to see, hear, and feel the love from Spirit. So here’s a method that I’ve taught many of my students and had very good results with this.

  1. Pick one night a week. I, for example, would pick Sunday night and think of the one loved one that you would like to connect with that evening.
  2. In the morning, send out a prayer or a thought to that loved one and let them know, I’m inviting you into my dream this evening. I’d love to have a dream visit with you if the timing is right for you.
  3. Write their name down on a piece of paper and tape that piece of paper to your bathroom mirror so that you see their name, the last thing before you get ready for bed.
  4. Now at your bedside, have a picture of that loved one and if possible, a personal object of theirs, a memento or a piece of jewelry like a watch or a ring. That’s okay if you don’t have a personal item.
  5. Now, place a bowl or glass of plain water next to that picture by your bed because water is a very good spirit conductor.
  6. If you like, you might also light a candle and say a prayer before you go to sleep. Be sure and blow the candle out. Now, here is the key.
  7. The last five minutes before you go to sleep, you are sending out thoughts of gratitude for the blessings of having had that loved one in your life. Think of the happy memories, the good times, maybe even a funny moment that the two of you shared.
  8. And then, as you say your prayers or affirmations, ask for the gift of the dream visit and the gift of remembering the dream.
  9. Because sometimes it’s very difficult to remember a dream. It’s like we wake up, we know something happened, and it just escapes us. So, ask for the gift of remembering. It also helps to have a digital voice recorder or pen and paper by the bed in case you wake up and you want to write it down. So now, go to sleep.
  10. And when you wake up in the morning, if you don’t remember a dream visit, that’s okay. Don’t get frustrated.

Maybe it didn’t work the first time. Make an appointment again the following week and just try this every week until it works. And then when it does work, don’t ask again for a few months. Just savor that precious visit that you’ve had.

Now, you’re going to want to know how to tell the difference between a dream and a dream visit. Is it just your imagination or was it real? So, it’s very easy. A dream visit from a loved one in spirit is short and sweet. It’s really that simple. It’s very brief. It’s very very real. It’s like you’re right there with them. Some people report feelings of being hugged and kissed or just looking in their faces and knowing that they’re there, that it’s really, really real and it’s very brief. It feels like their personality. It’s very loving. If the dream goes on and on, if it’s in any way negative or it doesn’t reflect their personality at all, that’s just a dream.

So give this a try and don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time. Stick with it. Pick that one night and go for it. Sleep well. Many blessings.
