Annunziato Gentiluomo, artistic director for the Fifth Edition of the Life Beyond Life Film Festival, announces that the festival has selected the best films from a broad range of films submitted by producers from around the world. The first award is in the Subtle Energies and the Paranormal category. The awarding committee is chaired by R. Craig Hogan PhD, President of AREI ( Afterlife Research and Education Institute) and Seek Reality Online. The awarding committee included Annunziato Gentiluomo PhD, Ideator and Arts Director of the Life Beyond Life Film Festival Torino/Italy, Evelyn Meuren, and Francesca Lucà.
The award goes to the Spanish movie, Signs of Dying, directed by Daniel Ortíz Díaz. The committee notes that the award is because of the film’s “honest and passionate commitment to investigate phenomena related to the end of life present in visions from the deathbed and NDEs (Near-Death Experiences). The committee notes that the award is because of the film’s “honest and
passionate commitment to investigate phenomena related to the end of
life present in visions from the deathbed and NDEs (Near-Death
Experiences). The film courageously invites viewers to go beyond mechanistic visions and the medicalised approach to the end of life. It celebrates death as a sacred event in everyone’s life.”
Artistic director Annunziato Gentiluomo adds that the film is “a real masterpiece!”
Thank you Daniel. You produced a real masterpiece, inviting people to reflect, coming over realistically by giving us a stunning, convincing experience. You enabled us to empathize with and feel your message by striking at the heart of human emotion. It is a testimony that death is truly not the end, but merely an important bridge to finding our way home.
