What life is like in heaven the afterlife

A Seek Reality Online member asked, “I have heard that people in a near-death experience may have a life review. Is that the same for people who actually cross into the next life?” Yes, people may have a life review during a near-death experience. And everyone has one or two life reviews after death. In this video, I explain the difference between the life reviews in near-death experiences and why we likely have two life reviews after we transition to the afterlife.

People may experience a life review in a near-death experience and will definitely experience life reviews after making the transition into the next life.

The life review someone may go through in a near-death experience is intended to teach the person things that will influence the rest of their life. It happens in a short period in Earth time, but since time is relative, the person may experience many incidents that happened during their life as their body is unconscious for a few minutes. The way the experiencer puts it, time stands still.

The purpose of this life review during a near-death experience is to help them see their life and others differently. You must understand that a near-death experience is only NEAR death. The contents of the experience are intended to give the experiencer a re-orientation of the life the person is destined to continue. As a result, the near-death experience has elements much like the death experience, but altered because the person will come back and go on with their life. In the life review during a near-death experience, the person sees things that happened during their life and how they affected other people. When they are revived, they remember the life review explicitly and see life and others differently. They then continue their lives with that wisdom.

What we are told from people living in the afterlife is that the reviews AFTER death are different. Everything we describe about the afterlife comes from statements by people communicating from there. Nothing we say comes from a guru, a religion, New Age Author, or our best intuitions. Here’s what we’ve been told.

When people first arrive in the next life, they meet their loved ones and have a wonderful reunion with them. They have time to realize what happened to them and are delighted to see that they really did survive after their bodies died. They have time to recuperate from the last moments of their life on Earth.

After they have recuperated, most describe two life reviews. The first life review happens soon after the person arrives there. It is shorter and not as in-depth as the second review. The person experiences an overview of their life, evaluating the life they just lived, lessons they learned, skills they developed, and how their life influenced others.

The second life review happens later, after the person has stabilized and is in a mental condition to learn from a more in-depth experience. They must be stable because this second life review will require them to learn from what happened during their life, good, bad, and ugly. When a person first makes the transition, they are not ready for this heavy experience. It is not intended to traumatize the person. It is not intended as a judgment or to punish the person, but it will be an emotional experience.

The second life review is intended to teach the person the effects of their actions on others during their life. The person in the afterlife decides when to have the second, intense life review. We have at least one account of someone putting it off for a long time because they are worried about experiencing the feelings of others in their life. But the person having the life review must be healed and rejuvenated first. They are too tired and often traumatized after their human lives to have the life review soon after their transition to the next life.

Some describe the second life review as being led by guides or a council. The person experiences events from the point of view of the people involved. They don’t simply hear about or understand the feelings of others. They become the other people involved, one at a time. They feel all the emotions as the others involved felt them. It’s as though they become the other person for a moment, feeling the intensity of the individual’s effect on that other person just as they felt it. If the other person in the interaction was sensitive and easily hurt, the person having the life review becomes the other person, becomes sensitive and easily hurt, with all that person’s emotional baggage. The person having the life review feels the pain others felt.  This life review is not a punishment. It is intended to teach the person how their actions affected others so they can grow in love and compassion for others. It is part of our continued growth toward becoming loving, compassionate, and wise.

We understand from one source that if the person having the life review is an incarnated guide or other such assistant to others in this lifetime, they do not have a life-review, but a debriefing with their own councils. These people are described as being on a mission, not learning lessons.

Some people fear that when they die they will be judged.  This isn’t so.  You will judge yourself and your own actions.  And then you will learn to forgive yourself for the pain you caused others, just as you will learn to forgive others for what they did to you.  It is important to realize the life review is not a punishment. There is no judgment or condemnation, just understanding and growth.

Look forward to the end of your life and the wonderful reunions you’ll have with your loved ones, pets, and even ancestors you don’t know yet. You’ll have life reviews, but they will be uplifting, even if at times difficult to live through. The life reviews are intended to help you mature in your love and understanding. From that maturity, you will see others and yourself differently. It is a gift you will experience when you make your transition from this life to the next. The life reviews are nothing to be feared.
